The theme for the 2021 Texas Cowboy Reunion Grand Parade is “Big Stars.” It will be held on Wednesday, June 30 at 4 p.m. in downtown Stamford.

What do ‘Big Stars’ mean to you? Do you think of ‘stars and stripes?’ How about the Lone Star State? Or movie stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame? There are celestial stars, with the largest being the sun. Then we have the modern day superhero, Sports Stars.

Stamford athletics made history just last week with the school’s first ever state softball title. These girls are certainly Sports Stars, worthy of leading the TCR Grand Parade this year as the Parade Marshals.

“We are so excited to serve as parade marshals to kick off the 2021 TCR,” said Cyndi Herrera, SHS softball head coach. “This just adds to the excitement of winning the state title last week, and celebrating all the hard work these girls put in to get there.”

The State Champion SHS Softball team is led by head coach Cyndi Herrera and assistant coach Kaycee Gossett; team members are: Savana Gonzales, Madi Woolf, Trinity Johnson, Citlaly Gutierrez, Laylonna Applin, Emily Patterson, Shandlee Mueller, Macie Zuber, Madison Guzman, Brylee Strand, Macy Detamore, Laramie Terrell, Jacelyn Bell, Jameson Bell, and Jay’lynn Hatley.
