The annual Texas Cowboy Reunion BBQ Cook- Off, sponsored by Farmers Insurance – Josh Duwe, promises to be filled with fierce competition on July 4 & 5. With exciting prizes (Coolers (1 donated by Stamford Tire and Appliance) and Blacksones) and a chance to showcase the best grilling skills, barbecue enthusiasts are gearing up for this highly anticipated event.

Participants can enter three primary categories: Brisket, Ribs, and Chicken, with a $100 entry fee. Additionally, a jackpot competition for beans will take place, costing just $10 to enter, with 100% payback for the winner. “We’re thrilled to see both seasoned pitmasters and newcomers take part in this year’s cook-off,” said event coordinator Sabrina Mcilwain.

In addition to the main events, there will be a Friday Night Jackpot. Competitors can enter for $10, with entries due by 10:00pm, Friday night, giving participants the chance to win the entire pot in a winner-takes-all format. This adds an extra layer of excitement to the festivities.

“The camaraderie among competitors is what really makes the Texas Cowboy Reunion BBQ Cook-Off special,” said Mcilwain.
