The Rodeo Dance is Back: Jody Nix to Play at the TCR Round-Up Hall

The Texas Cowboy Reunion is bringing back a beloved tradition — After the Rodeo Dances at the Round-Up Hall, featuring Jody Nix and His Texas Cowboys every night, Thursday through Saturday at 9:30pm.

This year, the Texas Cowboy Reunion is bringing back one fun tradition — the After the Rodeo Dance at the historic TCR Round-Up Hall. Starting Thursday, July 3 through Saturday, July 5, the dance floor will come alive at 9:30pm with none other than Jody Nix and His Texas Cowboys.

Jody Nix will first kick off rodeo week as part of the Big Red’s Concert Series on Wednesday night at the TCR Pavilion, then head over to the Round-Up Hall the rest of the week to lead the return of a tradition that’s defined the Texas Cowboy Reunion for generations.

For over 30 years, Jody Nix has been cherished staple of the TCR. With the smooth sound of true western swing, he’s helped generations of cowboys, cowgirls, and dancehall regulars two-step the night away — and the TCR Board is proud to welcome him back for all four nights of dancing.

While Big Red’s Concert Series continues nightly at the TCR Pavilion, the Round-Up Hall will once again host the kind of traditional rodeo dance that’s been part of our history since the beginning. The return of these dances gives everyone — from long-time locals to first-time visitors — the chance to experience the community, romance, and rhythm that define a real Texas rodeo week.

Whether you’re dusting off your boots or teaching the grandkids to two-step, this is your invitation to keep the tradition alive.

Join us after the rodeo, Thursday through Saturday, 9:30pm at the Round-Up Hall. Tickets are available at the door each night.
